This is Haylee. I met her online recently and was given permission to share her story. Shes 16 years old and has been suffering with Anorexia Nervosa (binge purge subtype) for 10 years now. She has permanent heart problems, shes has 2 heart attacks since January, and was in a coma in March. Shes constantly in the hospital due to her eating disorder, and shes spent 7 months in the hospital this year. It’s come to my attention that there are a lot of people on tumblr with “pro-anorexic” blogs who seem to WANT this disease and give “tips” to their followers to “become anorexic”. I want you to look at this photo, at this young girl who has wasted 10 years of her life in agony and ask yourself, how can you be pro this? How can you encourage others to do this to themselves? Please reblog this and help it get around to other blogs to show the reality of eating disorders and the pain they cause and put a stop to “pro anorexia” blogs.

I’ve never seen or heard of a pro anorexia blog but if there are these type of blogs I would be willing to bet that the people who run them are in no way worth listeningto. The real shame of this sorry is that this young lady doesn’t have people in her life to tell her how beautiful she is without having to resort to doing this type of stuff.

The reasons to drink more water are virtually endless… but some of the key reasons it is important for weight loss are:
Water suppresses the appetite (makes you feel fuller). The same area of the brain that regulates hunger also regulates thirst, so sometimes we get the two confused. Always drink a big glass of ice water about 15 minutes before a meal. This will keep you from overeating or choosing unhealthy options.Water is needed for proper digestion. Your body needs water for it’s organs to function properly. If you don’t drink enough water, your body will take measures to conserve it. Just as water is needed for proper digestion, it is also needed for fat metabolism. The liver metabolizes fat.. without water, the liver cannot function well enough to do this. Drinking enough water causes the body to stop retaining water. Just as when you starve yourself, your body will go into survival mode and cling to fat stores… the body does the same with water. If you don’t drink enough, the body freaks out, thinking it won’t get anymore water, so it clings to what is already inside, causing retention/bloat.

So sad how accurate it is was sometimes…

Oh my god,how can someone post this? Not to eat would have better outcome than eating? Please, stop spreading this, it’s sad. You HAVE to eat.You cannot live if you don’t eat, it will not make you happy, light and definitely NOT feeling accomplished. Eat whatever you want! Just in moderation. Have healthy food, fruits and vegetables, you can have healthy snacks. Is that so hard? You need to fuel your body so that it can burn the fat and keep you moving. While not eating will destroy your metabolism and you’re going to get no-where. In fact, not eating will have you crying and hating and being depressed and sad.

I tell myself this all the time! Believe it or not, I “slip up” too. I love chocolate and dessert, and it’s hard for me to stay away from it. Although I do a pretty good job most of the time, I do have the occasional binge! MOVE ON. LEAVE IT BEHIND. Beating yourself up over it will just ruin your day and it’s a waste of your time! You’re better than that! <3
