Cinnamon works like green tea, they both have thermogenic activity (they increase the heat generated by body, so increasing metabolism.) It also helps if you have Type II Diabetes and fight insulin resistance.According to Mayo Clinic, cinnamon was shown to reduce blood sugar levels and increase their natural production of insulin as well as lowering blood cholesterol.
You only need 1/2 to 2 teaspoons to give this effect. Do not go over 2 grams per day. Sprinkle cinnamon on oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, whatever you want! :)
